I have a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology/Anthropology.  I am a professional member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), as well as the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).   I am certified with Health Coaching Australia, and the National Association of Cancer Coaches.  As well,  I am a certified Childbirth Educator and have extensive experience teaching parenting courses, working with family dynamics , and supporting parents and teens to navigate the challenges of adolescence.  I am a qualified couples counsellor  and palliative care therapist.  I have facilitated numerous support and educational programs, and I have a passionate commitment to helping individuals, couples and families optimize their capacity to support each other and thrive.  My research and practice interests focus on integrative healing, thrive therapy and optimizing health and happiness.  I work extensively with clients who are struggling to find meaning and new ways of thinking about life and death.  While I have a general counselling  practice,  I specialize in working with family/adolescent issues, couples counselling, health and lifestyle coaching, and supporting the challenges of living with cancer, and dealing with dying.  I was a co-developer of the Cancer Coaching program at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, facilitator of support groups for Breast Cancer Action and the Cancer Transitions Lance Armstrong program.  I have a private practice here in Ottawa and have clinic hours at the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre, and The Glebe Health and Wellness Centre.
